What a young person aged 11 to 16 can actually go and do in Norwich: clubs and classes that take juniors, and the free courts, skateparks and tracks they can just turn up to. Every club below was checked by our research agents against its own website, league tables or council record.
“DCMS should commit to creating a bespoke, child-friendly online directory of youth services including sport facilities and clubs, broken down by local authority … a list or map showing the local sport and physical activity clubs and sessions available to them.”
Centre for Social Justice, Inactive Nation, Part two (Sept 2026), recommendation 3, p.66
This page reuses our Norwich club register proof of concept and adds one extra pass: a check of each club for junior provision. A club counts as confirmed when its own pages give an age range and show activity in 2025 or 2026. Everything else is labelled “to confirm”, so nobody is sent to a session that has stopped.
It answers the CSJ’s call for a local directory of clubs and spaces for young people, and gives councils mapping their youth offer under DCMS’s Local Youth Transformation guidance a start that includes grassroots clubs as well as registered organisations.
